Meningioma of the Cauda Equina. Case report.

Abstract

|
Meningiomas are occasionally seen in the cauda equina, arising in most instances from the inner surface of the dura mater or from the arac.hnoid membrane. There are usually a bit softer and occassionally are vascular than neurofibromas and are more likely to fit over the surface of the cauda equina and conform to its irregularities. Cauda equina meningiomas are reported to be rare. We have experienced a case of meningioma of the cauda equina in a 54 year old man
A brief literature review was also presented.
